Pulju coming to and assume no CBO Neal Buyout

Created by: Oilyboy
Team: 2020-21 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 24, 2020
Published: Jun. 24, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I know people hate the speculation on it, but it does seem more plausible now. If it happens, I think this would be a pretty good lineup. Assuming no CBO for Neal, it still works. Will be even easier if there is a CBO.

I think it’s very likely JP comes back. Won’t see him sign until next seasons schedule is made. Holland will let him sign with Finland to get playing sooner then shortly before camps open he will join Edmonton.

Not sure if russell would waive for Ottawa... makes sense for the team but I think russell is at a point he won’t want to join a team just for the sake of proving himself for another contract I could see him being like Gagner very likely open to very cheap deal for a depth role just to stay.

Puljujarvi wants to play top 6 so if u guys do it either Yamamoto or Kassian has to go to the third pairing. Kassian without Mcdavid does not work and Yamamoto and Draisaitl have good chemistry so again its a no. In general I just dont see it working out for him there and he is probs gone at the draft.

I'm not so sure. I'd think Russell would like the chance to prove he's still a useful 4/5 NHL dman and earn himself a contract. He knows he'll be the 6th or 7th dman on Edmonton next year. But who knows

Given JP skill set I would most certainly give him a shot there over kassian. That’s not to say testing Kassain on left side is out of the question doesn’t seem ideal but could work given his role.

that would be great
one winger would already be tried and true and another would have good potential along side mcdavid
well
really almost anyone has potential playing with mcdavid
even us here, on this thread

Betting any one of us would be more productive with mcdavid than Lucic was. Haha wow was he a train wreck like I’ve never seen before.
