I think @leafs101 edges it. That offence is just insane, so much superstar talent. Defence is close I think @keep_ups12 takes that, he has the better goalie choice too. Overall it’s close, but that would be my vote.

Goaltending is comparable - yes hellebuyck carried the jets, but both are playing behind dynasty-level teams. We've seen how well Vasi plays behind an elite Tampa squad, and you've got lehner if he falters. He may have the slightest of edges at G, if any, but it doesn't really matter behind such elite teams, and with such elite backup goaltending, imo.

The offence is pretty self explanatory. Just yucky. The best duo in the world/top 2 leading point scorers + league's leading goal scorer first line. 2nd and 3rd best players in the world companied with a pest who puts up numbers. Like Marchand or not, he's so valuable. Also has that chemistry with Sid. 3rd line is speed and defence. Coots is one of the best defensive centres in the game, and is still good for 65pts or more. Pettersson was probably a top 15 player in the NHL this year, and is on line 3. Him and barzal flying down the wings would be too hot to handle

D is worse but:

a) Way more defensively responsible, high end forwards (mcdavid, Crosby, coots, goodrow, mackinnon, Marchand, Petey, etc. are some of the best defensive F in the game)

b) The D is still very high level

c) Pairings fit well- Josi - Makar would be driving the play like crazy. (2nd place to Carlson) Norris and Calder pairing right there if you ask me. Rielly, the offensive guy who is still pretty solid on D, with D specialist pulock, and then D specialist toews with play driving Deangelo

don't know why I spent my time writing all of this but this offence steamrolls the differences on the other parts of the roster

This is the closest one for me so far.

Offense - leafs
Defense - keep_ups
Goaltending - even
PP - leafs

I think leafs takes it. Having said that, I've seen a lot of teams that put high skill guys on the 4th line and I just dont see that as realistic and think those players would play worse given that role. So I take that into consideration when looking at these (may be the only one)

Im just curious do you think the goal tending is even? I thought Helly was a bit ahead of Vas

Helly had the better season this year, but over the past few seasons they are very comparable. So it's hard to give the edge to one or the other. It may be a slight edge to Helly just because of their play this season, but not enough to really affect the overall team for me - they're both just really solid goalies.

What happens if we stay tied

It's been neck and neck for the whole thing, I don't want to end it and one minute later have the tying or winning vote submitted. Any creative solutions?
--I thought of having you both move on(if you tie) and face the next person but then it would be a bit unfair to the other guy to have to face both of you. 3 teams facing off isn't the norm though. Any ideas?

we could do a playoff round where we each make a team but with a lower cap (like 70mil or something) and revote on that. Then the winner has his current team move on
