I think Edmonton would take the risk on this deal.

I think EDM would probably accept this, but Risto for Ghost? I highly doubt Philly do this, I mean isn't Ghost pretty good? And also Sabers are tryna trade Risto for a top 6 forward I believe, so Ghost isn't what they're looking for.

They both have struggled, Buf has a little more depth on the right and philly on the left I think.

I have been chatting with lots of Buff fans though and they all seem to be trying to trade Risto for a good top 6 forward because thats what they need right now.

Yeah, that would be optimal. But might not be doable, and if that’s the case ghost and Risto are considered close

Risto and Middlestadt for Patrick and Ghost. 2021 3rd round conditional pick to Buffalo if Patrick does not play next season in the NHL if he does the pick stays with Philly

Sure I guess. Bad seasons, which have been the last two one could argue he’s been significantly worse. Risto has a ton of flaws, but he also is tough and consistently put up around 40 points a year. Ghost had a season of 65 and 46. Otherwise he’s been below Ristos point production. This year 12 points in 46 games. For a point producing Dman without much snarl and has just as many holes in his defensive game as Risto, they’re fairly close.
Daily Faceoff has a metric to rate players, and Ghost has a score of 72.9 and Risto a 73. They’re honestly pretty close
