Im gonna be pretty blunt. I hate it.

I cant see anyway that trading Reinhart helps at all. and you clog up the middle when we have potential in Mitts (who might be better suited for a wing) but would do better in a sheltered role with Kahun and Johansson. and Obviously Cozens . Realistically we need a Max domi type that could excel in a 2c role and move to a wing if and when Cozens is ready.

And then you trade Mountour and Johansson for two 4th liners I don't know how it makes us better

After this trade we're holding tryouts for our center positions in St. Paul. All are welcome. Multiple spots to fill. Pizza Party afterwards

Flames do not even consider this, like honestly. AHL player and a dman for Bennet and our best forward prospect? Big no.

It will make me envy the days when Koivu was hurt and Brodziak was our 1C for a stretch.

Man that season was crazy. Whoever thought that Kyle Brodziak would've been the most consistent player on a team in any given year. If I remember correctly too he had like a 20/20 season...man we were bad back then

You’re trading a top4 RIGHTHANDED defensemen
AND a top line RW...

And getting back all lesser players for them,
most of them just depth guys that u could get for mid-round picks

I hope you’re not Kevin Adams trying out some ideas on here,
lol

If I'm not mistaken, that was the year the Wild led the NHL around mid-November and then 3 or 4 guys were injured and they had zero depth to replace them with. Think we ended up with Brodin in the draft the next summer, so it's not all bad.

In all honesty I don't agree with any of these moves. I believe that Adams and the Sabres will do something stupid like for younger guys that he can get quantity over quality and hope a few pan out this and this is more what I am projecting we actually do. Teams and actual trades mean almost nothing I just think he's going to move bigger contracts and spread them out over a few players instead of just Sam for example.

That is a fair assessment. I'm assuming off the top of my head that PMB was one of them. Dude was super talented but oft-injured. Would've been interesting to see what he could've done if he stayed healthy.

Why would u think that?
After what Eichel has said, seems pretty obvious the Sabres need to start winning ASAP
Trading Sam works against that unless they’re getting a really good player back for him
I’d think Jack would lose his **** if they traded Sam for a package of “futures”
