Swapping Severson for Montour and Bratt for Kapanen doesn’t make sense to me. Seem like sideways moves

hes better offensively, but defensively kap has the advantage, but still Bratt is necessary for your rebuild. Giving him to the leafs would not make sense for the devils as Bratt paired with Tavares or Matthews could reach 25+ goals and would be making 3mill.

yeah he has all the skill to be a 70+ point player with the right line mates. I don't think Kapanen has that kind of upside

I made this team so if Johnny Gaudreau or jack Eichel come available there will be pieces such as picks and descent players send back in a big trade. And in the two years the devils have 20 picks in the fist 5 rounds. They have multiple opportunities to draft good players and prospects.
