I do Kase + Bjork for Palmieri, but I wouldn't include two 2nd rounders for him. Maybe one 2nd rounder if NJD is willing to retain some of the hit for next year.

Bruins overpay by a decent amount

Please remember: He is now a complete rental, so lower value than even last year (and the devils were asking too much last year which is why he wasnt dealt

Kase+2nd, Bjork +2nd, or Bjork+Kase

As i already explained to someone (maybe even you?) nobody COMES WITH an extension, unless its already signed
Has he already signed it? NO.

Your best bet is to do Bjork, Kase and a conditional 2nd that happens if he resigns.

Lol, the player and other team discuss an extension prior to the trade. Happens all the time. If it makes you feel better sure do the players with conditional 2nd.

Offer sheets are empty threats, plays have to actually sign them too and no idiot is offering a decent #4 more than 4M

It’s not about making him feel better. He’s right: there is no “comes with an extension”. So make it conditional, or no 2nd rounder at all.

I like the tampa trade TBH, my only concern is that walsh probably couldnt be the D going back. He is going into his 4th year at harvard and would be a UFA. I dont know if you take the risk and just give up cernak for a 2nd rounder. I would almost be inclined to take a lesser prospect with the certainty that I would hold his rights for about 5-10 years.

I think the bos trade is fair value but IDK if bos makes very good bedfellows to be honest. I think the devils are still rebuilding, but are almost past the point of stockpiling piecemeal assets. I think they need to gear their mindset more towards consolodating existing assets into in order to upgrade for a select few roster players. this team has a looooot of forwards in the system and 8 draft picks in the next 2 years. we are already seeing them forgo the opprotunity to give mid and low tier prospects ELCs or contracts in albany.

the zacha trade just doesnt really make sense to me. hes a cost controlled 3C, and I think he will be valuable when zajac's contract expires next year.

inject the wood trade directly into me veins. hes practically a cap dump in my eyes at this point. Hes also an RFA in the near future and has already held out for more money the last time around. Tell him to kick rocks and hope that another GM has some infatuation with him.
