Colorado pass on that, it's a really bad deal under the circumstances.
Due to his partial NTC Killorn can eliminate 16 teams, which could basically be all the teams with capspace who aren't contenders, so we'd have little if any competition for him. Tampa's bargaining position is extremely weak due to their cap situation too.
There will be tonnes of teams wanting to trade their $3-5m middle 6 forward contracts this offseason, as well as a plethora of under-priced UFA's to be had in free agency, and Colorado is in a great position to take advantage. As such there's absolutely no reason to pay market value here.
I'd be willing to go up to a 2nd + 3rd (with no conditions) or alternatively offer Jost straight up, but any more than that and I'd pass. Jost has no arbitration rights this offseason so can be resigned at a really cheap caphit, at least on a 1 year contract. Though I suspect that Tampa would want no salary coming back at all.
That said, even a 2nd + 3rd feels silly when we could simply resign Namestnikov to a cheaper contract. Killorn is probably slightly better, but overall I'd say that the balance of the decision would be in favour of Namestnikov + 2nd + 3rd over Killorn.
