The 2 first rd picks are nice, the rest not really, Gallagher Danault could get more in separate trades

Danault extended for the 7th overall is very fair. Gallagher for Risto, Mitts, Johansson and a 2021 1st. Flip Risto for at least a 2nd, Johansson traded at deadline for a 2nd possibly. Huge haul and dont think they could get a better deal than this

Youre getting the 7th overall plus more pieces. You draft 2 of Rossi, Perfetti, Holtz. I think you should instead of extending 27-29 year olds for 6-8 years.

Even in a rebuild you keep one of the 2 at least for veteran leadership. Gallagher is probably the next Captain just to give you a little perspective value wise from the Habs point of view.

Can't believe any Sabres fan doesn't like this, yes the 1st round picks have value but the other pieces here don't have as much as everyone thinks, if this could be done and get both Danault and Gallagher with long term extensions they'd be in a really good position going forward.

Danault is a top10 Selke candidate and might even win one sone day, he is an excellent 2C, but you don’t know hockey att all if you think Danault isn’t worth a 1st rd pick. People are signing him for 7M on this website if he hits free agency, he’s very underrated
