The value in the offer is okay, but the Blues aren't doing that.

Actually was a blues fans idea on here recently.

Do M-NTC's need to be protected in expansion draft? If so, then no deal from us. Means we'd have to expose Kappo

Jones doesnt require protection. But I didnt think about having to protect Zuc so that's probably a no-go anyway.

That's what I was thinking. Honestly, I think we're stuck with Zucc. That NMC is a killer

Yup. I was excited about getting Zucc until the details came out...then I cringed hardcore. I went into this season hoping he fit well with us and he could earn that contract...he neither fits nor is coming even close to earning his worth. Plus I'm worried that Suter, Parise, and Spurgeon will fall off of the map. We might be in trouble soon. Please keep Wild fans in thoughts and prayers for the next 4+ years.

We desperately need some 2nds in this draft and have plenty of replacements for Sanford. I'd rather have a lower 2nd, but i think this would work

Okay, well that's one person's idea. They're not trading a guy who produces, skates well and bangs for so cheap. We need high value, low cap hit guys to make this offseason work. Besides, he's just now coming into his own. It would be silly to trade him out of a Cup-chasing team for a future.

Got ya. Lot of blues fans think differently. To each their own.

If Parise can stay healthy i think hes got another year or two of solid productivity, but i am a big Parise fan so biased. Same for Suter. Spurgeon, im not so high on.

Value is more than what I think Sanford is worth anyway. I think he can fetch a 3rd, but he’s not consistent enough to even put him as a second. You are looking at a winger version of Berglund basically. His little late season production was basically because of his teammates. It’s nothing to balk at. I’d say 3rd-4th round pick probably gets him on any NHL team because he’s only a 3rd Liner at best and at that we have Kyrou and Kostin almost ready to take the spot and a little later down the road Alexandrov. I don’t see how Sanford for a second is okay Value. Gets some money off of our books, and makes it a little easier to roll with the punches.

Honestly we don't need him, we can just keep Sorensen, similar player exact same cap hit, same position. I just think Sharks need new blood on that third line.

Sorensen is a better play than Sanford he’s more consistent.

1- Yeah, I don't agree with any of this.

2- He would get one year of $1.5M off the books. This does nothing to help the situation. In fact, it exacerbates it by removing a cheap contributor. And Sanford still has more upside, so in more ways than one this would be a sell-low move. He's much more valuable to us playing for the team.

I get your side as well. Both good points.
