K guys I said the offense would be trash but the trades seem kinda even and the defence is stacked

Look I love makar but nah McDavid will get traded. Oilers already screwed up selling Gretzky they’d never trade McDavid. Only way he leaves is if it’s for UFA

Not sure which is worse: the overpayment by Colorado, or the absurd underpayment by Chicago.

Makar is like Erik Karlsson in his prime on an ELC. And Rantanen is a cost-controlled PPG+ forward. You're not getting a 2-for-1 deal from us.

Oilers would not do this because Mcdavid is better than makinnon but maybe if you sweetened the pot with a high draft pick or a top six forward they might accept.

I wasn't talking about a swap of Mackinnon for McDavid. I was talking about Colorado's center depth if they did the trade in this AGM.
