Jump 30 spots to take a 5.75M capdump is close to fair value IMO
Depends what the plans are for this summer ( expensive back up goalie ? ), I could see the Habs taking this deal

Fair value but I'd rather get a mid pick instead of an AHL center, this years fourth and we got a deal (Which is basically a fifth). Imagine having 4 top 40 picks, literally drooling.

This very well might be what it takes to move Steen. But IMO the payment should only reflect the difference in his buyout vs trading him outright; 5.75m
cleared vs 2.35m cleared, so 3.4m. I wouldnt want to pay the 30 spots and a prospect for that but it isn't that unheard of I guess. We just have an extremely thin pool and the guy we'd get with our 1st probably becomes our best prospect. Gonna be interesting to see what happens.

Sharks will need a good bit of retention OR a good young player to take on Bozaks hit.

The Habs would have to "bite the bullet" and take on the whole $5.75M and not buy him out, since they have 6 UFAs that they have to sign that includes their entire top line plus Petry and they have 3 RFAs to sign next year including Kotkaniemi. They will need every penny in cap space next year to do this, that is why they will not buy out Alzner this year either.
