Both those Offersheets get matched quickly and you can only have one active offersheet at a time

With what cap space? They still have Cirelli to sign and Point's next contract to keep in mind. They could be done in succession.

They can go over by 10% in the Off season and they have 7 days to move other players out before they match

No one will help Tampa + they’re players have NTCs

With Heinola and Samberg coming, I don't think they need Sergachev

Teams helped the leafs with their cap last season when they signed Marner and went over the cap why would Tampa be any different? As long as Tampa pays with picks or prospects someone will help them out

So who exactly are they going to move? I think the vultures are circling around Tampa and there won't be too many teams willing to make a "fair" trade with them given their circumstances.

Trade the 5th and 6th away so you can save money by not going to the draft

I didn't say they would make a "fair" trade I said IF Tampa pays they can get help from somewhere. They can also buy out a contract or two they have options not many great options but some options. My point is IF your going to offersheet 1 or both of them your going to have to pay more than that

I think it's realistic that Chevy goes after Verbal but not both him and Sergachev. Jets D would be nice with Cermak.

I mean honestly, if you are going to do it, this is probably how I would do it. Maximum pressure as they say.

But it's a hard core dick move and I don't think the rest of the league would like it.

I also think TB would trade their rights before losing them. Just to punk them back.

It also cost TOR an arm and a leg to do that.

I think $4M will get you Cernak
Sergachev could be a bidding war

But they still got it done and Tampa would do it as well because it is better for them to move contracts than lose those players to OS

There's no way Mickhail Sergachev signs a $6 million offer sheet, For him to sign one you're easily looking at closer to $7 million per to $8 million per especially to sign with a high taxed Canadian team.

I like the idea of adding Cernak as a 2RD, but we have Samberg and Heinola coming up on the left side so no need to add another top 4 guy.

I agree. Of all the RFA's in Tampa, I think Cernak is the most gettable. I like his size and his overall game. I personally think the whole Cirelli situation gets figured out and he stays in tampa. They might have an agreement for him to not sign O/S's and to allow them time to make the right moves to fit him in. I do like the idea of a "ticking clock" though if some teams did O/s multiple RFA's. Asking at least 2 of TJ, Palat, or Killorn to waive NTC/NMC, finding deals before they match is exciting haha
