im honestly excited for the depth. I hope they dont sign a tavares and rush the rebuild. And keep accumulating assets and signing guys to longterm early (to not become Toronto with the cap) and then if one doiesnt pan out, you have the assets to dump him and move on.

With TOR, the problem isn't that they spend roughly 40 mil on 4 players, the problem is that they spend such an amount on FOUR FORWARDS!!!!

I think Perfetti has the highest ceiling of that group but he'll probably end up on the wing, I'd go Rossi over Lundell. Lafreniere + Rossi would be really nice for you guys

And I know most Torontonians hate it because they have a bias for local players, but Marner is the one they should move. Tavares and Matthews are very good centres. They play well, score and alre also both far above average on faceoffs.

Nylander is producing very well and his contract just looks better than the Marner contract.

I really think they should trade marner and then they can fill that salary cap space with a 5m player and almost two 3.5m players. Or 5.4 and 5.4m

I disagree. I think Marners contract is too high but ok for other teams with different salary structures. But having 3 players making more than 30 toghether is just difficult. And I rather pay Rielly than Marner

Marner's AAV for 7-8 years would be perfectly fine or pretty close to that. But for 5 years the contract stinks.

tough call. probably Byfield + Stutzle because Stutzle is my favourite player in the class and Byfield might have the highest ceiling of anyone in the draft.

I had them at about a 73% chance at a top 3 pick howd you do the math? Curious to figure out the correct answer. Been running NHL tankathon all morning and seems the most likely scenario is us getting some combo of 4,5,6 sadly

Crazy because we only have a 15% shot at 5 and 6 and its the least likely scenario. The odds are extremely high of one of the picks being 5th overall tho. Lets hope the other one is in the top 3

we also have a better chance to get the first pick then we do to get two or three overall
