I tried to make an optimal line-up. I may have been able to add more skill players, but I don't think they would be able to play their role as well, i.e. a real-world 1st/2nd liner but would be a 4th liner on this team.

So I have the top two scoring lines, an unreal checking line that will score a ton of goals too, and a fourth line that is defensively responsible and hold their own as a shutdown line that can chip in on offense.

The D pairings are given the same thought - the top two pairs have a quick, speedy defenseman that can pinch and push tempo/offense paired with a defensively responsible defenseman that has a booming shot and has terrific two-way play. The third pair is designed as more of a shut-down pair.

And I think the goaltending would be the best tandem in the NHL at a reasonable enough price (and so did silkymooth lol)

For the PP lines, I wanted to have an offensive D (Josi/Makar), a net-front presence (Couturier/Lindholm), two snipers (MacKinnon + Pasta / Petterson + Svech), and a puck distributor (McDavid / Hubredeau) -- there is some overlap in role because they are all so good, but that's the basic idea.

And the PK is optional, but the PK are analytically fantastic and could even turn the tables on the other team and pot a few shorthanded goals.
