No it didnt

Honestly we wont know who won the karlsson trade for a few years. If it were Lafreniere then yes but anything after him we just wont know yet.

Stutzle* And I guess we will see. Its kind of revisionist history as if we didnt trade for Karlsson we likely wouldnt be in this position to be in the lottery. If Karlsson can be prime again and we win the cup it will be worth it

The kings are a long way from competing. They should 1000% take BPA and move one of those guys to wing

Byfield or not, its not Lafreniere therefore we won't know the winner of the Karlsson trade for at least a couple years. Erik still capable to win a Norris in a Sharks sweater.

This is a deep draft class though. Stutzle, Byfield and Rossi all have serious potential. Not quite Lafreniere but still

Anyone outside of Laf and Byfield will take at least a year to develop. Thats my point. One of those players gets rushed and theyre screwed. Look at Puljujarvi and Yakupov. Im not ready to write the Karlsson trade off until we know more facts in a couple years.

This trade reminds of the Seth Jones for Ryan Johansen (Defensemen for a bunch of Centers) with a touch of Duchene trade since it's an unexpected "gold mine" for the Sens. (I bet both Dorion and Sakic didn't expected to get 1 of Stutzle/Byfield and Byram/Girard respectively)

Idk man I'd compare all three of them to someone like Kirby Dach. I don't know if they will all step into the NHL immediately, but by the year after next they will undoubtedly be ready.

Its possible. Nail was directly compared to a young Pavel Bure. Puljujarvi was often compared with Jamie Benn. We will see i suppose.

That's true. You never know.

Although to be fair, the Oilers suck at drafting. I wouldn't put the mismanagement of prospects past that organization LOL

I read the puljujarvi scouting report from a habs article and another from blue jackets. Yakupov was universally loved, anyone would have taken him first overall.

Burke strikes me as someone who would lie to boost his ego. I liken his personality similar to Donald Trump. No offense to anyone who supports that side of things.

@RawZuccSauce420 @papishark im not saying im right and youre wrong, im just sayin we cant judge who won or lost the Karlsson trade til we see how Sens picks turn out. Who knows, since they wont get laf maybe they move our pick for a player. We just wont know. We cant jump to conclusions because I think Erik is totally capable of one more Norris and im not unrealistic but with the right moves the sharks could get back to contention next season and a healthy Karlsson would do wonders in the playoffs.
