Yeah that's the only top 3 pick left to be determined. The 8 losers of the play in rounds will be in a lottery for #1.

The team will be one of the eight that are eliminated from the Stanley Cup Qualifiers and will be determined by a second drawing to be held before the start of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Each of the eliminated teams will have a 12.5 percent chance of winning the No. 1 pick!!

He doesn't go to a playoff team. The play-in is not part of the playoffs. However, given the nature of the play-in, it is very possible that a team that was in a position to make the playoffs at the time of the regular season cancellation wins the 1st overall pick. And that comes hand in hand with extending the amount of teams that could make the playoffs (i.e having a play in). It would be ridiculous to allow teams that were in a playoff spot to be knocked out, yet not include them in the lottery.

1st overall no matter what should always go to a rebuilding team. Not a ****ING playoff team!!! The lottery is so flawed it really needs to be fixed and its not just this year. Year after year it is ****.

Absolutely but it also shouldn't just be given to the last place team. There are so many better options

But they are not rebuilders, hence they should not have a pick in the top 5. I am so ****ing pissed at the league. **** the NHL
