You don’t pass bad contracts and picks to contending teams. Strongly advise against Granlund at center. Better off keeping Strome

Rangers decline all 3 trades. Avoid the Granlund signing. Actually probably trade down from Laf to get Byfield since they're going to have Kreider/Panarin for the next 5 years. But at least the Lemieux/Deangelo contracts are good. But yeah, a lot of poor ideas here.

im all about getting a center and they should definitely entertain the idea if theres a massive overpay to move down. They shouldn't just feel obligated to trade down since we need to get a center.

I have Byfield and Laf pretty close together on my board (Byfield is basically a year younger and has a higher ceiling)., So if you can move down to 2 and net a haul, I don't hesitate to do it.

in terms of the 2020 draft I'm only trading 1OA for Byfield.

Given that LA has Turcotte/Villardi/Kopitar/Kupari etc up the middle already, I think they might be willing to go for it.

Another stupidly overpaid veteran? Another LD that Dallas doesn’t need? Marc Staal hits both of those categories. I’m sure that’s probably a “anybody that wants him” kind of trade, but it’s a pretty obvious “no” from the Stars.
