Oilers get a Speedy Top 6 FWD, a Top 4 DMan and a mid pick where they have none.

Leafs get potential and salary savings.

Seems fair to me

Interested in kerfoot. Don’t have the cap space for both. Also really doubt holland is moving JP. He made it very clear from the start bringing him back is higher priority than trading.

Worse on the wings, worse at centre, certainly no better on defence. Don't know how this solidifies the roster.

What about kerfoot for bennings rights as a foundation to build a trade upon. Benning will cost less for the leafs but they are getting a RD that has shown constant improvement and is very underrated in terms of being responsible and effective. In my eyes he’s the cheaper version of the type of d they would be looking for.

Dubas has said Kappy is off limits. Leaving Johnsson as the young speedy forward to move.

avs traded Rosén back to the leafs bc he apparently requested to be back in TO bc of family reasons. But a Greer Gauthier swap...sure why not

I like(d) Rosén but he had his shot in Colorado already this season and didn't take it.

I'd also rather be the team to acquire a pick for AHL/waiver fodder rather than trading picks away.

I like Dermott. He's just a casualty of being LHD, where we have an excess. And he's a valuable trade chip.

Bingo. Rielly and Muzzin are not being moved. Lehtonen is making the team at least a 7D unless he stinks.

If Sandin is 100% ready (I think he is), you can't have one of Dermott and Sandin sitting every night, so he would have to play RHD, which Holl and Lehtonen (a risk) can do.
