Add Mittelstadt to the Tampa deal, And Julien Brisebois might accept. Don't see him accepting that offer.

Tampa is in win now mode so the #7 pick and the 2nd round pick and Asplund mean nothing to them Brisebois is by far giving up the best player in the deal Anthony Cirelli is a Selke finalist and yeah that's not enough.

its plenty.

also, they can be in win now mode all they want, there is no way they can return this team next year due to horrible cap management.

Yes, I would trade #8 for a player like Cirelli, I would even add Mittelstadt if they added a second round.

You did a great job fixing the mess and have cap room left, the line combos look good, Defense pairings look ok. The only thing is you still have Carter Hutton on the team, besides that you did excellent.

i think they will keep him and hope his vision problems are corrected and he can serve as a competent backup. its Ullmark's net for 50+ games.

Cirelli had 44 points last year, while at times playing with Kucherov. People need to stop overpaying for him.

22 of his 35 even strength points came while playing with none of stamkos, kucherov or point.

he is a perfect 2 way centerman to anchor our 2nd line, much like ryan oreilly did and hes only 22.

Tampa declines quickly. This offer never gets Cirelli, as Tampa could care less about a 2nd rounder, a maybe 4th line and a 1st that might help them in 3 years. You haven't offered close to "plenty" for a rising young 2C. Tampa isn't moving him, but even if Brisebois did entertain offers, it'd take more than this.

enjoy trading half your team then

and yes, #8 plus plus is pretty good for a guy like cirelli.

Tampa will hardly lose half their team, nice to know though that you don't really understand Tampa's situation, as has been clear from any post you've made regarding them. Tampa will lose 3 or 4 depth guys that they have already planned for(Colemsn, Goodrow trades to start help with this), and they get their rfa's to buy in with their bridges. It's funny though hearing a Buffalo poster saying Tampa's done a horrible job managing their cap/team, that is priceless. If Buffalo is serious about trading for Cirelli, the deal starts with a player/prospect that Tampa would value now, so Cozens or Jokiharju. Tampa is in win now mode, trading their 2C for magic beans and a 4th liner is never happening. If Buffalo isn't interested in trading a player/prospect like that, great, Tampa has no desire to move Cirelli for less, and they are very happy with his progression and upside moving forward.

It's not a fair trade. With the season the Devils had (firing a coach and GM, moving Hughes around, finding a spot for Gusev, and trading Hall) I think it is very unreasonable to use Bratt's time on ice as a metric for his trade value. He was >15 min/game the two seasons before, why did you ignore those numbers? I'm not going to prop Bratt up as being a superstar (he isn't), but this would be a very silly move for NJ.

Yeah definitely not reasonable. No shot Devils do that. Risto is awful. You guys play him like a top pairing D yet doesn't he usually finish top 5 worst in +/-? Bratt is 4 years younger, and will be a lot cheaper. Why would Devils want an overpaid D like him? I'd rather talk a trade for Montour
