Sharks fan here

If you're in rebuild mode, what sort of fair package from the Sharks would you like for

1) JVR
2) Kadri (negotiating rights)
3) JVR & Kadri

Please keep in mind that 1) Sharks are in win-now mode and 2) are cap-pressed (so please anything you get, just take Mike Brown off our hands for a year and bring him in to make your younger guys feel more at peace!).

1) I could see a package of maybe Chris Tierney and two mid to late picks. Also what ever player the sharks would need to get rid of to fit under the cap. (Mike Brown if SJ doesn't want him)
2) Maybe Chris Tierney again and picks. (Mike Brown if SJ doesn't want him)
3) To get both JVR and Kadri it would have to be a large return no only because of the talent but also because SJ would have to clear cap. So maybe a package of Tierney, Wingles, Dillon, and maybe one of the big guns in Marleau/Thorton.

As you said the sharks are in a win now, but I also do not see them giving up Hertl or Nieto or another really good young player and Toronto does necessary want Wingles because of his age.

In all all three of these trades are unlikely without Marlea/Thorton because Hertl and Nieto are RFA net year and the sharks don't want to be up against the cap and not be able to sign them. I also don't see Toronto wanting either of these guys so a third team would have to be involved. All in all its not impossible but it is unlike that one of these trades is able to be spun.

Would you make any of these trades?
Who would you want SJ to give up for JVR, Kadri, or both?

I would do Tierney, Dillon, 2017 2nd, and Brown for JVR. Ideally the Leafs can eat up ~15-20% of his salary (they can afford to do cap-wise, though salary wise might be kinda tough with Babcock wink).

Same package for Kadri, though a Wingels, Dillon, and 2017 2nd also works.

Thornton and Marleau are retiring as Sharks if DW offers them another one at the end of their contracts. They won't be waiving their NMC's before that in any case.
