Not really. Kerfoot is a far better all around player and will make around the same amount. Dallas should be adding, not the leafs at all. They also dont need a shut down center

they could trade one of Marner/Nylander for an elite defenseman. Pretty much a "Ryan Johansen for Seth Jones" type of trade

or they could bridge him on a 2 year deal then when tavares' contract is up we use the money from that on him.
