Domeski and a lot more

Created by: Smithcd995
Team: 2020-21 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 27, 2020
Published: Jun. 27, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is a lot but I think it would give us 2 scoring lines especially with Domi and skinner to help bring Cozens along at wing. A really tough third line to play against. And a split at goal better than we had last season.

BUF
  1. Domi, Max [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Hear me out. I think this would be good for both teams. Domi will put up a bunch of points with skinner and get him out of his funk from last year. Montreal gets a high pick and two pretty solid prospects for a guy that might not fit there. Probably a slight overpay for what buffalo can afford but I think it would pay dividends.

Not sure if this one makes sense but both are pending UFAs. Gives buffalo some grit and minny a touch more offense.

Domi is a beast and underrated. I get it’s an overpay but sign me up for 8 no doubt.

I would trade 2021 first for Domi not 2020. Lundell (it they draft him) will probably be better than Domi in a couple years.

I think this is an overpayment. Domi seems that it was not the best season and maybe he will require money and term.

I might consider one of these deals: Pilut + #8 for Domi + Mete or Pilut + #8 for Domi + 2nd

I have serious concerns that they will take Sanderson, even if Lundell and Perfetti are on the table, so it’s not a bad option to trade for Domi so that they don’t take Sanderson. smile

I’m confident that they will draft a forward.

That’s fair. I anticipated it when doing it. I was going for the whole package of the team proposed above but wanted to be sure it was something mtl fans would accept as he’s the biggest piece. I bet we could get him for less but with different pieces.

I'm not sure. I would not say that I am a fan of Domi, but he seems to be a good player, can take 2C position, has chemistry with Reinhart, fits our core, at least I would consider this deal if Rossi and Raymond are no longer on the table.

Most likely, but quite often everything goes wrong as we expect, some of the choices in the top 10 past drafts are surprising.

MTL: Way too much for Domi. You'd probably just need the 8OV to get him. I wouldn't do it, but could see why people want him.

DAL: Have no interest in Faska, especially in a swap for Risto.

MIN: We don't need any more left wingers.

VGK: I like the trade.

STL: Don't like trading Kahun + Asplund & all those picks for a meh goalie and Dunn. You could probably just sign a FA to fill the 3rd pair LD role instead of giving all that up.

Not enough for Dunn, and we aren't taking Hutton's contract on as a cap dump with a bunch of spare parts for that deal. Buffalo would need to give up a First Round pick and probably this year to even get anyone to pay attention to taking on Hutton's contract.

Not a chance he’d get buried way before giving a first for a one years deal under 3 mill lmao get real. Dunn is one thing I get that but a first for Hutton come on.

Why would anyone want to take on a player who has the worst production in the NHL?

An awful team will take him for a mid pick to reach the cap floor for a year easy. Nobody in their right mind would give a first to move a one year contract that is nothing close to crippling.

I like the Faksa Risto and the Tuch Montour swaps. Foligno isn’t going anywhere. Over pay for Domi. Not enough for Dunn

Don't be too confident MB likes Askarov but Timmons is BIG on Sanderson just depends on what the rest of the scouting staff think

So the 8th OA, one of the best shutdown D prospects in the league, AND a good center prospect for Domi?? Wouldnt trade any of those pieces for him tbh, we can do better and we need prospects down the middle and on the left side

The confidence in someone taking on Hutton’s contract for a irrelevant draft pick is hysterical.
