Here is my idea. We go to detroit and ask for the 4th OA and Seider. We draft Drysdale with the 4OA. And in a year our Dcore becomes

          Rielly-Seider
          Muzzin-Holl
          Dermott/Sandin-Drysdale/Liligren

cause while those other options are good how is toronto expected to afford Makar next year or Hamiltons extension.

Doubt it. Keep what is likely to be the best offense in the league.

I would draft lafreniere and have him for 3 year elc and trade a forward for a defenseman, that buys a little cap space and a protection spot. Johnnsson kapanen or nylander

No chance of us paying seider+ 4th overall for 1st. You aren't getting seider no matter what, he's as close to untouchable as their is

Keep Laff, then probably trade Kapanen or Johnsson tbh. Having Laff on an elc is so valuable.

Wow thats a huge trade offer. idek how to evaluate this, but ultimately I think COL declines since RHD is probably the hardest position to find star players in. This trade would turn Colorado into the Leafs with a very top heavy team

Also notice how its McAvoy and a 1st, but its Only Makar???

Like Makar probably isnt better, but ill give him credit so even if he was, he isnt a 1st round pick better than Mcavoy

Uhhh. As a Leafs fan, I'd say no to each of these trades. Id much rather have the best offense in NHL history than trade Lafreniere for Rasmus Andersson and a mid round pick. You do realize that Lafreniere is projected to be better than Matthews

Carolina would take that deal. No doubt. But I don’t think Hamilton is worth it.

RHD is more valuable than forward, and Makar is a proven star still on an ELC. As such Colorado declines. Good offer though.

I think the Colorado trade is the only one of these trades that makes sense to trade 1st overall for btw.
