That’s a good question. You’d like to think he’d be a better player on a better team, but the analytics show that he’s just not that good. Calgary has a trade in place for Risto and their analytics Dept. blocked it and said stay away, you don’t want him. That speaks volumes.

No way the 1st gets moved for a lazy RW who doesnt love hockey enough to play but instead waits out for more money. Plus no way he'd come to the org that gave up on his brother
Thanks MJ...
While analytics is certainly an
IMPT TOOL -
let's be 100% clear -
IT'S NOT A TELL-ALL!!
If that alone nix's a trade between some of the best hockey clubs known worldwide - then face it, the professional scouting dept's on 31 clubs are redundant; effective immediately!
As in science, and dealing with data and it's collection/interpretation will attest: GARBAGE IN = GARBAGE OUT!
No matter how many spread-sheets you evaluate, remote data points you crunch - if
you do not go out and look/smell/observe and collect the said data yourself; you will fail!
Cheers
PS: Skyraider's assessment speaks volumes, cause I too have seen that player w/ my own eye-test on TV of course.
But when I go to live junior/minor games etc., I get the cheapest seats in the concourse rafters to watch the play from that 20,000-foot view; eye-opening!
