    Scratching Grundstrom isnt a great idea, it will hurt his development. I'd not sign Boyle and play Grundstrom instead or send him to the AHL and play him a ton

    Fabbri isn't getting traded. That's definitely fair value but Yzerman is keeping him.

    Why would Montreal help Tampa without getting anything back quality wise. If you want cap help your going to have to include Sergachev's rights. So something like Gourd 50% retained + Sergachev for 2nd + 3rd. Keep in mind that we are in the same division and if you don't like the offer we will just OS Sergachev and not have to take Gourd as well.

    Do you seriously think that Sergachev would turn down 8.4 Mil just cause Montreal traded him early in his career? That would be stupid, besides after the trade reports came out that MB and Sergachev had talked and there were no hard feelings about the trade. MB even went on record as saying he knew Sergachev was very talented and would become a top defender but the NEED of his team was a #1C and felt that Drouin could fill that role. He also went on to say that to get quality you have to give up quality and that is what they did.
