I personally wouldnt be so eager to give up on Patrick yet, but I do think Burns could boost their D core and fit well with them.

Burns is signed for next 5 years at 8M and he is already 35...his contract will soon be one of the worst in the NHL and his production will decline drastictly.

Not correct. Burns will be fine for 2-3 years

Wrong he has shown signs of decline this year

He played 25 minutes a game and even on a heavily injured slumping team full of rookies he still put up 47 points outpacing Letang, Werenski, Karlsson and Heiskanen. So if this was a declining year you mustve been watching every game he played (like me) to notice little nuances in his game that would suggest a decline. And im sorry, but I dont believe you if you say you did.

No interest in Burns. Good player.....contracts gonna be bad in a few seasons. Patrick we keep until we know what we have in him. Ghost can be had for the right offer.

Fair enough. Ghost is the player we have the least interest in here. I like Patrick alot if he can play

Ghosts demise has been overblown on these boards. He had a nagging injury that affected his mobility and confidence. He was healthy and gaining his confidence before the stoppage. He’s only 27 and has a good contract on top of it. The reason Ghost is considered tradeable is largely due to the expansion. Provorov, Sanheim and Myers are the obvious protected leaving Ghost exposed. That being said it’s preferred the return is ED draft exempt if it’s a defender.

That Leafs trade is ok. Not great, not terrible. It's fair value for Johnsson but is Roy NHL ready?

Not quite lol

But he is a right shot Dman ya'll have been looking for. Problem is that I wouldn't expect to see him until a couple years down the road.

Probably not, but if your looking to salavage him, at one time he was considered to be pretty premier

Ugh. It's fair value but not what the Leafs need
