Absolutely not. The drop from 3 to 11 is massive, and this isn't enough to justify missing out on Stutzle. Stutzle could be the 1C of the future for Ottawa.

Ryan Strome isn't a 60 point centre, he just had a career year. Being the sap who pays him like one would be a mistake. Also I like Georgiev, but calling him a number 1 goalie at this stage of his career is a major stretch. He has the potential to be that one day, but it's not a sure thing, and he's certainly not that now.

That might get you the 5th overall pick but you will never get the 3rd overall for that. Strome isnt a 70 point center and Georgiev isnt a number 1 goalie. You overvalued them in a major way. Strome have been averaging just over 40 point career overall and on’y had 2 real good season. As for Georgiev he got interesting potential but he haven’t shown yet he can be a number one. Ottawa have absolutely no incentive in making that trade. They are in a rebuilt and giving away a possible ppg superstar isn’t the way to improve their team.

I said the same thing about Georgiev but NYR fans continue to overvalue him. Goalies are such a crap shoot when it comes starting goalies in the NHL.

Even if strome is a 45 point center, he's amazing defensively and plays all situations. Look what you got for JGP who never even hit 43 points. Georgiev is a great young goalie, cheap and under team control. Definitely worth a lot. Plus 2 3rd's. 8 spots isn't a whole lot basically Stutzle vs Lundell/Holtz/Sanderson/ETC

His numbers are good, but far from mindblowing. He probably warrants a look in a larger role, but crowning him as a sure number 1 at this stage is ridiculously premature.

If Craig Anderson, Mike Smith, Martin Jones and Bryan Elliot are number 1 goalies then georgiev would definitely be

The Sens got way more for Pageau than he's worth in my opinion. He was having a career year, and Ottawa sold high, which is what The Rangers are trying to do with Strome. Whether or not Pageau is a fair comparison for what New York will look to get, it's not a good representation of the actual on ice value he brings. Keep in mind Ottawa would then have to pay him a big contract, that's probably more than he's worth. He's closer to a 3C than a true 2C in my opinion, and Ottawa have plenty of 3Cs.

I also think you're seriously misrepresenting the gap between Stutzle and guys like Sanderson or Lundell. Those guys are going to be very good, but Stutzle looks like a game changer. The value of having an 18 year old game changing centre far outweighs the value coming back to Ottawa.

fair enough.. hope Ottawa doesn't mess that up. Stutzle does look like an absolute stud in the making.

Georgiev hasn't come within a mile of Craig Anderson when he was actually a number one goalie. Comparing him to 39 year old Craig Anderson is a bad argument.

Also I wouldn't really consider either of the other two number 1 Goalies, but they both had stretches of their careers where they were as good or better than Georgiev has been up to this point.
