Description
I really like the idea of getting Weegar. He would be an incredible fit for our team. As I mention, a guy like Dermott could be added to the trade if anyone thinks they need more. I honestly think Willy is worth Weegar, the pick and Acciari, and Kerfoot is worth Wallmark. Both teams get a bit of what they need. Thoughts?

1.
TOR
  1. Acciari, Noel
  2. Wallmark, Lucas [RFA Rights]
  3. Weegar, MacKenzie [RFA Rights]
  4. 2021 3rd round pick (FLA)
Additional Details:
Leafs get a top-pairing d-man with incredible defensive stats. Acciari and Wallmark provide cheaper bottom-six value than someone like Kerfoot. Overall, Nylander has more value than Weegar+, Kerfoot has similar value to Wallmark, and the added Nylander value earns Acciari and the pick.
FLA
  1. Kerfoot, Alexander
  2. Nylander, William
Additional Details:
Panthers get another offensive threat that can really help them out in their top-six. Especially if they lose Dadanov or Hoffman. Kerfoot is actually a solid defensive player who can be a better fit than Wallmark.
2.
TOR
Picks. He can be added to the Panthers trade if they need any more. He could honestly be quite useful to them.

I really like the idea of getting Weegar, he fits perfectly and all. But giving up Willy is a huge huge huge overpay. Kerfoot for Wallmark is a downgrade at the 3C, and I'd like to keep Dermott around instead of flipping him for some picks

Amazed to see things like this, when some people claim Leafs fans overvalue their players!

Nylander is a 8thOA pick who just scored 30+ goals in a shortened season and ranked in the top 10 RWs in the league, for crying out loud. And he hasn't reached his ceiling yet. His worth is a proven top pairing D.

But he had a bad season that one time so that means he's only a 60 point winger who is definitely never going to get better because that helps all the arguments for people who undervalue him
