If Buffalo’s pieces were actually worth enough to get Cernak and Cirelli then Buffalo wouldn't be bottom feeders every year.

That's way too much for Jake Allen and it's even worst if we have the retain salary

Tampa is giving up the 3 best pieces in the deal, Buffalo's #8 pick means absolutely nothing to Tampa right now. That's a meh return for Cirelli alone. And i doubt Palat would even waive for Buffalo..

Tampa declines easily. They'd probably consider this for just Cirelli lol.

I know Tampa is in a very difficult position capwise but that doesn't mean they'll trade RFA's that easily. They still got all the power since they are in possession of their signing rights. Tampa will just try to trade a couple of their NTC's and as long as Serg, Cirelli and Cernak aren't signing an OS, Tampa got all the time they need. And if they sign an offersheet, Tampa just matches or takes the compensation (which has more value than 99% of the ACGM trades). It's that simple

i feel like the term blockbuster is reserved for trades in which there are heavy players going both ways. in the above scenario Buffalo is send a pile a rubbish for 3 really nice pieces. not today bub.

1st trade is really lopsided to Buffalo. So it won't happen. (In no small part because it makes 0 sense from TB's side as trading Palat is in order to make room for guys like Cirelli and Cernak. At the end of the day TBL gets a ok dman in Miller, a prospect and a high pick with a lot of cap space but not exactly needing it then.)

2nd Trade doesn't help Buffalo in the slightest.

3rd Trade is actually worse seeing as Juolevi is a borderline bust at this point and you have him playing with us.

4th Trade makes no sense due to the fact we are somehow paying St.L to take their pseudo-cap dump. Allen rebounded last year but not to be worth almost 6mil when you add the retention to his cap hit.

Really? I think that's fair for Allen. The guy had a really good year and has history as a starter. If Im BUF I do it right away...if Im STL I might wait for a better offer

I change my mind a little. The retention doenst make sense. Making him, like someone said, a 6 plus million goalie is too much, but a 3rd at his contract is a good deal, especially for BUF

Blues decline. We don't want Hutton, and we can get a sooner, better pick.
