My recollection is that you can only sign your own UFA's to an 8-year term. Maybe I'm wrong.

Ooops. Sorry, I've seen so many Toronto posts hitching Pietranglo that that's what I thought I was looking at. The Kapanen-Dermott trade made it worse.
