buf retains 1.5 mil from ristos deal. and the hockey writers say that at the deadline buffalo and the leafs had a deal done and the deal was the deal I just did and the leafs nicked it because they needed Kerfoot and johnsson for the playoffs but they said that 3 days ago the leafs and sabers started talking about the same trade and that once the keafs are out of the postseason this trade should happen

yes we know, the hockey writers stole an eklund rumour and it's bull. we know. The explanation literally doesnt make any sense. Why would the leafs agree to the trade and then nix it because they needed the players they were going to trade for the playoffs? did they not need them before?

the leafs needed Kerfoot and Johnson for the playoffs becouse if the leafs traded them then they wouldn't be able to replace them but now they can and risto is a great fit and a good player he played great this year and buffalos new gm is shopping risto to and don't forget buffalo still has the same president and he wanted to make that trade so it dose make sence and dubas is interested in risto to plus it could keep Eichel from wanting out to becouse now he is going to get a good yong winger to play with.
