Had to edit it. You must have commented when I did so. Yes traded with Islanders pick. 1st round pick (14th overall Islanders Pick assuming they lose the play in) and 2 2nd round picks (islanders and blue jackets) for 1st round pick (10th overall Chicago's pick assuming they lose the play in and dont win the draft lottery).

I think that’s fair to move up 4 spots. I don’t think Holtz makes it to 10. I can see Lundell and I’d take Lundell and move Stutzle to LW and Raymond to RW. Or take Askarov at 10

I would think moving out of the top ten would be hard, but let's say we get Askarov at 14? I think we might do this then, but perhaps not if Holtz is on the board? IDK/.

Holtz is likely gone. I’m guessing Sanderson, Lundell and Askarov could still be there

I don't know if that is a fact, Sanderson is a wild card I think. Could be called a lot earlier than we assume.

Below is an idea of what it would take to move up/down in the draft, but I'd even argue that this information is dated and it would cost more to move up in the draft than when this article came out in 2013. Draft day Trades like Victor Soderstrom, Dominik Bokk, K'Andre Miller all cost more than what the chart indicates...AND...I haven't been able to find a 1st round move that was less than the chart indicates, but please feel free to double check my work.

36.5 is the #10 OA... 22pts + 7pts + 6 pts = 35 points (On the older scale which as mentioned above doesn't reflect what it's been costing lately)

I honestly think you'd have to swap the NYI 2nd for the OTT 2nd. 22 pts + 12.5 pts + 7 pts.

I admit it might be a bit of a reach with Holtz at 10. Some reasoning behind making the trade on both sides:
Ottawa would make the trade I assume if a sniper is still available at 10, whether it be Holtz or Quinn (Quinn might be more realistic).
Chicago would make the trade because I see them potentially having an interest in Askarov and may be willing to move down a few picks as Goaltenders normally dont get drafted in top 10 while also getting 2 2nd round picks from Sens.
A few other notes: I see the Sens selecting Raymond at #5 with their own pick. Additionally, I think that Stutzle wouldnt be available at 3. I see the Kings selecting Stutzle over Byfield at 2 so Sens would select Byfield at 3.
Overall, I see the Sens selecting Byfield, Raymond, and making a trade with Chicago if Quinn or Holtz is still available.

Arizona moved up from 14 to 11 with only a mid 2nd. 14 to 10 with 2 2nds seem fair in a deeper draft

I see Chicago making this trade for the same reason. Interested in Askarov and goaltenders normally dont go in top 10. Drop down 4 spots and pick up 2 2nd round picks.

The details matter a great deal.
11th pick is 34.7 points.
14th is 29.8 and #45 is 7.2 points = 37 pts.

The article would say that AZ OVERPAID to move up 3 spots into the 11th slot, but what I'm trying to say is that this article is dated. OVERPAYING is standard practice in EVERY trade I could find moving up in the 1st round in the past 4 years. I didn't see one trade where the payment to move up was UNDER the chart. This post is paying under the chart.

***EDIT*** I did see Logan Brown was pretty much equal to the chart. BUT I'd also note that pick #10-#12 is the drop off point in most peoples drafts. Quinn/Sanderson debatable...so it might actually cost you even MORE than you think.

I wouldn’t offer up Logan Brown to move up from 14-10 that’s ridiculous. I’d offer him to move up from 14 to 7 or 8 tho

Hawks accept depending on who's available. if Laf, byfield, stuetzle, raymond, rossi, perfetti, drysdale, holtz, sanderson are the top 9 off the board like many expect, then we would prbably make the trade and look to get Lundell, Quinn, or Askarov at 14.

No I mean....OTT moved up from pick #12 to pick #11 in the 2016 draft. They paid for that with pick #80.....That trade is the ONLY trade I could find that was equal to the chart. That's what I meant.

OH **** !!! I missed the very beginning assumption....NYI is the #14 OA. My Bad guys! I was assuming pick #21. Hawks acccept.
