Led the league in G/gp this year and plays a good defensive game

Both of those things are true....still not even close to the player Eichel is.

ROR never asked for a trade, so that’s false. It was a bad decision by a bad GM. ROR just spoke the truth about losing. He never wanted to leave.

Not sure what you think it takes to acquire a 2C, but it’s not Eichel. The Sabres have second line wingers (skinner and Johansson). They just need the center.

Look at the rosters of playoff teams in the east then compare it to the Sabres roster and tell me how similar they are. Outside of their first line and Dahlin, they have a long way to go

As good if not better defensive game than Eichel and very close in production the last two seasons (Ziba might be higher in ppg due to his injuries) so if hes similar or better offensively and similar or better defensively how are they not close?

Please stop. Don’t make it sound hard to make the playoffs. The Rangers were two points out of the 8 seed. Also, I said ‘competing’ for a playoff spot, which means within range. The Sabres were about 11 points from the 8 seed. It’s not hard to win 5.5 more games.

Alright enjoy watching the Sabres to continue missing the playoffs while the Wings and Sens pass them in the rebuild

It’s very possible that they will pass the Sabres. It’s possible they won’t. We’ll see. Regardless, you don’t trade a superstar center. Idk why you’re so upset. The rangers have a bright future. They just don’t have the pieces to acquire Eichel if he was to be available, which he isn’t.

Not upset, not even a rangers fan, you're just clueless with statements like that though

I’m clueless because you have no idea what Eichel’s value is? Tell me a realistic trade offer for Eichel. When you do though, try to understand the position of the team trading him and what they’re looking for. Any team trying to acquire him will need to make an offer that hurts. You’ll overpay because teams don’t trade 1C’s.

Yeah, none of those pieces will land you Eichel. Zib is 27 years old. Not what we’re looking for.

I think we have the pieces but i don't think we would be willing to give up what Sabres fans ask for Eichel. Not sure any team would.

You have good pieces, it’s just not what the Sabres organization would want. Remember, they don’t have to trade him. If they can’t replace him, he’s not going anywhere.
