Who could we target as a 2nd line center

Created by: HOCKEYBOY448

Description
Who could we acquire to play behind Zib that is young enough to match the age of our core? I figure we could leave Chytil as our 3rd line center for now to keep depth throughout the lineup. I'm thinking guys like Cirelli, Domi, Faksa, take a buy low flier on Patrick from Philly. What do you guys think?

Honestly I hope we can. It'd fit into our obsession with Swedes that we have. Not quite sure how much it'd take to move up and get him. I see him going somewhere between 8-12.

(should've said obsession with European players, my mistake)

Why are Ranger fans so determined to dump Strome? Let him handle the 2c until Chytil surpasses him.

Cirelli imo

I feel like the cheapest way to acquire him would be throwing an offer sheet that falls into the 1st and 3rd round compensation. Maybe something like $6,325,000 for 5 years.

Yeah If they lose the play in shouldn’t be too hard to move up a couple of spots

I think 1st and 3rd is a steal for him especially if it’s a late 1st or a meh draft class

He is a Fin so he doesn't quite fill the Swede need.

It's not a matter of tryna dump him, but more of being scared to dedicate big bucks to him. Plus he's eligible for arbitration. Honestly I'd prolly give him a one year prove it deal to show this wasn't a fluke and then sign him next year to a longer contract.

Got me there. I mixed it up. Well then time to give Kaapo a fellow country man to play with.

If you thought Kakko had a hard time playing in Quinn's system, imagine someone even slower....that's Lundell.

Hoping Lapierre falls to us... probably will because of injuries. I'd take a chance on him in the draft

Because we already have one long-term, high-priced contract that will be an albatross in a couple years (Kreider). We don't need another.

Because his numbers were boosted by Panarin, so they dont want to pay him

because Chytil has already surpassed him in every way except for being given the opportunity. So Ranger fans want to give him that opportunity to play in the top 6. In a limited role there this year during Mika's injury he was dominant.

The 2C is already there....Rangers probably lose to CAR in the first round and what happens if they win the lottery? All of a sudden that 2C just got a lot better...
