thats fine, Flames arent trading their best player for a winger that thinks hes a blue liner and a 2022 2nd that might be a 1st. Worse return than Hall

Crazy for folks to say the Rangers decline that Gaudreau deal. He had 99 points last season, a higher watermark than both Stone and Hall, and that trade gives the Flames less than New Jersey got for Hall and Ottawa got for Stone when both players were on expiring contracts. Gaudreau has two years left on arguably the best value contract in the league. Getting him takes more than that.

This make believe planet you live on, does it have a name?

Zibanejad is operating at a 0.7 ppg over 8 seasons
Zibanejad is operating at a 26.3 ps (goals per season)
Zibanejad best season was 41 goals 75 pts (granted the season was cut short but historically he’s LUCKY to hit 70+)

Gaudreau is operating at a 0.96 ppg over 6 seasons
Gaudreau is operating at a 26.7gps
Gaudreau best season was 36 goals 99 pts

Gaudreau is EASILY the better player

Mika has literally more goals thab JG iver the past 2 seasons playing on a much worse team, he’s the more physical obe while being roughly as fast

Up to last yesf JG was better no question but now Mika is the better player

Also JG disappears when it counts

Not sure this helps your case the way you think it does. Playing on a worse team gets MZ unlimited PP time and a lot more usage 5 on 5. That's a total inflator, not deflator. Gaudreau and MZ have similar splits in the playoffs, soooooo.

Except Gaudreau played more PP minutes last year per game (3:20, according to Quant Hockey) than Mika (2:50, according to the same site) and this year yeah Mika played way more on the PP but he played less games than Gaudreau and again, he has looked better overall over the past two seasons combined

Lmao think what you want to think. MZ has one good season and all of a sudden he’s a god and better than players that were doing that for years. I hear kakko is better than Matthews and panarin is better than Crosby and mcdavid combined!!!! NYR fans are just so incredibly lucky!

Over the last 5 seasons Gaudreau is 17th out of ALL forwards in points per game.

Zibs is 45th.

Now, Zibs plays the more important position, and has come on strong the last two seasons, but let's not pretend he's miles ahead of lil Johnny plz.
