Thanks SCTM. Normally a joyful week for Canadians and Americans. Unfortunately this year, a situation we have never seen before. Sadly, the pandemic appears to be getting worse in the US. Life is changing for the worse for so many.
Praying that the health and economics improves for the 7.7 billion people that share our planet.

Yes, the health numbers say yes. But let's take a worse case scenario for the USA. Besides the sad health risks for American citizens. unhealthy and bad economics in America is bad for Canada and the world. Our highly interconnected supply lines get severed and then further economic fiasco.
In Canada, I think some of our government "responsibilities" have to updated. Many were established in 1867. Well times and have changed. In the US from what I know, government responsibilities seem to be even more separate between, federal, state, city and counties. Too much administration and not "stuff being done". Plus the totally inane political system in the US then reaches into the civil service. Seems to be such a divide between Democrats and Republicans that again.... not even creative action gets implemented.
Apologies to those who feel offended by my rant. I just feel...and I'm. 66 years old, that there is way too much infighting among politicians and sometimes the civil service. These smart people can be a much better job delivering services to their citizens if the walls of politics and jurisdictions were reduced.
