Hischier is much more valuable to NJD than Ehlers would be -- you'd probably have to overpay hard to get him.

Nico Hischier was just locked up long term, No way Shero is dealing him especially not for Ehlers.

Would probably take Connor to get Hischier, if the Devils were getting the 2nd overall pick maybe they consider trading Hischier for Connor but they're not so I doubt they consider trading Hischier.

Only player on the jets I would see NJ trading him for is Laine, which if the jets draft Laf might even make sense

I’d agree with this, it might just take Hischier+ from here POV. Not sure that trade really works.

Even if its Connor, I wouldn't care...NJD fan asked about Ehlers on one of my posts...so i put him.

I would be willing to add in Heinola and a 2nd instead of the 1st if thats what NJD want.

Def starts with Laine for sure. Nico is solid both ways so him + Laf would be absolutely lethal

Yeah I figured. For me, and I'd assume Chevy thinks the same, but Laine for Hischier 1 for 1 is a bad deal for Jets IMO. Devils would have to add just a bit on their end. Knowing that Laine is going to be playing with Hughes and just getting fed pucks left and right is scary. Jets also lose a huge chunk of their goal scoring and get not even half of it back from Hischier. I know he's awesome at both ends, but Laine's game is trending that way as well. I think Devils for sure have to add on their end if it's Laine for Hishcier.

Yes Hischier as a center is more valuable than a winger but Ehlers is a better point getter. Not sure why they are up in arms about Ehlers and a 1st....

Yeah idk, I guess Hischier has a good two way game. I would rather do Ehlers + 1st +2nd than Ehlers + Heinola and 2nd. I'm not sure why NJD fans are so scared to move Hischier when they have Hughes to fill in at his spot.
