I don’t know if kerfoot alone would be enough of a return. Maybe a draft pick as well. Dmen are traditionally valued a little higher than depth forwards. It’s close though.

Vegas never takes that Risto deal.

Buffalo declines Only because of his contract. 4.75m over six years is a lot for a guy coming off a season where he was pacing for 15 goals, and 30 points, and doesn't kill penalties and plays third line minutes....you can re-sign Jimmy Vesey if thats what you want. Vegas declines because they dont want to trade a 23 yr old forward when his value is at its lowest. But in a couple years, they may regret his deal.

Vegas also needs a right shot D, but I think they feel they adressed their Defense needs when they brought in Alec Martinez to play the right side....although he's a left shot

Lol. For Kerfoot straight up you’d better take it and run. No complaining 😛

I think Toronto's 3rd line center is fair value for a 2nd pair Dman. I think Vegas's 3rd line RW is fair value for a 2nd pair Dman.

No sure Columbus makes the trade, but is it fair? Sure I guess. Though I’d rather keep the D intact vs acquiring a sign who’s trying to be center and a bust.

He is not an offensive Dman, he is more a universal Dman. No need to evaluate him by last season, he played on the left side, look at his metrics for the last three seasons when he played on the right side.

I think you're giving up too much for Raanta. There have been posts here with Murray, Demko and Georgiev going for the same price or cheaper.

He is still more offensively minded than defensively so Its still not a type of Dman Leafs look for when trading Kerfoot. I think Miller would be a better fit honestly as he is more well-rounded. But like it would be Kerfoot for Miller at 50% or something like that..

Only if without retain, otherwise it will not be entirely honest or to sweeten the deal from Toronto. But, Risto for Kerfoot and Johnsson classics of the genre. squinty smile

I don’t understand why we should retain, for me the value of these players is the same. We don’t need Johnsson at all, we have too many LWs.
