Sabres Next Season

Created by: RpMReloaded
Team: 2020-21 Buffalo Sabres
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 1, 2020
Published: Jul. 1, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
For Strome Trade: He is rumored to be on the block, and the Sabres have an excess of defensemen.

For Holden Trade: Clears Cap Space for Vegas next season and gives them a backup goaltender for the season. Holden plays the responsible defensive defenseman for Dahlin.

Thoughts on these would be appreciated, I am not an expert on other teams.

Hawks decline. Not even close. We don't want Montour or any of the other defenceman that Buffalo fans and trying to dump on other teams (cough cough Risto). Strome is not even on the block. Hawks fans on here like myself only propose trades for him in the situation that we probably draft a center like Lundell, rossi, or perfetti in the draft and could sell high on strome while he just had 2 good seasons. If you want him it starts with your 2021 1st. Even then the hawks are still better off to keep strome or trade him somewhere else for a quality roster player back (just want to repeat again that Montour and risto are not that piece the hawks are looking for)

I'm not sure. Elliotte Friedman said Chicago has Dylan Strome available for trade, and that he "doesn't think the cost is really prohibitive."

There's a very real reason for this. Strome's due for a contract and just saw his best friend get a 3 year $6M+ contract. If Bowman goes public saying....Strome's available for an arm and a leg...no one replies and we learn nothing. If Bowman goes public and says it's not prohibitive...he gets people to call and he finds out what other teams think. Now he can assess not only the amount of Strome's next deal, but also his trade value in case it gets to that point.

He said that on a buffalo podcast “As a joke”

What he clarified on a Hawks podcast was that

Dylan Strome was not “on the block” meaning the Blackhawks weren’t actively trying to move him.

But that he is not “Untouchable” , which most players in the league aren’t

He qualified his statement by saying that he didn’t think the cost would be prohibitive, which was just his personal opinion and had no info on.

TL;DR
Dylan Strome is not a player you can get for spare parts despite what you may have heard.

Edit: Forgot to mention HARD pass from Chicago
