Rumor

Initial Creation Date: Jul. 1, 2020
Published: Jul. 1, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
For the record, as a Kings fan, I am 100% against this trade. I do not want Eichel at the cost of Vilardi and 2OA.

But I will explain to you how the Sabres would be the winners of this trade.

Not only is Gabriel Vilardi a 1C in the making, but he had a super impressive first stint with the Kings. Ever since Vilardi's call up, the Kings went 8-1-1.

Byfield, the likely pick for the Sabres at 2OA. We all know what he has the potential to be.

Iafallo, a LW who would have gotten 50 points this year had it not ended early.

If Adam's is truly pushing for this trade, you guys should be happy you are in good hands. This is a brilliant move to consider for Adam's. Again, I hope it does not happen.

Eichel hasn’t demanded a trade. He won’t get moved this offseason.

Interesting rumor. Time will tell.

I think that the trades are fair, but with Hutton's vision problems, I don't think that the Sabres move Ullmark, whether or not they sign Holtby.

The only way a Eichel to LA trade works is if Kopitar is going back to Buffalo. You can't have 3 guys making in excess of $10M/season. Just ask Toronto. Kopitar isn't going to waive his NMC to go to Buffalo.

Even if he did waive, if the first move of the new Buffalo GM's administration is to trade Eichel for anything less than a ridiculous overpayment, he's going to get run out of town. I could see it if Botterill was still the GM and was trying something dramatic to save his job, but now that he's gone, it's just not going to happen.

As much as I would like to see Eichel in a Kings jersey, it's just not going to happen.

Ullmark quietly had a .915 save percentage. Buffalo was right in the playoff push when he got hurt, if he stayed healthy they would have stayed in the race and they would have easily made the 24 team playoff.

Not fair deal Eichel.
We do not need Iafallo, and if this is a futures package, then it should be 3-4 young players and #2. Also probably we could take a salary that comes back.

Yes it does.

That maybe a fair trade but I don't see it happening. There are several teams that would happily give up more than that if it meant having Eichel.

So one 1st round pick, 40-50 point winger and a prospect with back issues that can flare up anytime?

One must know Vilardi, Iafallo, and Byfield/Stutzle in order to have an opinion.

I think that’s the best Eichel trade yet...
Most seem unrealistic because one valueing Eichel too much second almost all Eichel trades have too many moving parts. This is simple and effective

It doesn't make sense, I was just expanding on it and showing Buffali fans how they would be better off. Like I said, I am 100% against it. It makes zero sense from the Kings side.

Leafs have no intention in trading valuable piece for unvaluable one.

Yeah, imagine where they will be in 2 years with Vilardi, Byfield, and Cozens down the middle. Plus it let's them draft hopefully Sanderson too.

Iafallo is not needed, he is LW and not so valuable, his best result is 43 points at 26 years.

Vilardi - an elite young prospect, but there are concerns about his injury
#2 - this is very valuable, but not enough

We could also return the salary in the deal, so that it would be more valuable to us: Quick/Carter

Montour was horrible this season and I see why Sabres fans want to trade him since they have like 3 better right shot defensemen than him. He is supposed to be offensive Dman who is sort of acceptable defensively but he is not even that. Offensively not good last season and defensively a black hole. Just not a player Leafs want or need. Miller who is more well rounded would be a better fit. montour is not a valuable piece for Toronto.
