Lehner's underpaid imo. Just go with Koskinen

Have faith in holland he wants JP back with oilers have faith in him to get that done before selling JP for table scraps. Holland was able to trade the unmovable Lucic give him some time to work with JP.

Robin Lehner isn't signing that cheaply, Try more like 5x6.5 minimal.

I’m not an oilers fan and this is what I would do to. He is the one ‘reclamation’ project I would love the Avs to get.

Bottom 6 regressed looks far weaker then this year.

Sure Craig Smith is a upgrade over Kassian but our RW can manage without adding an FA. #3C far greater need currently.

I have a very tough time considering him any sort of project and that’s the part I think gets lost the most.
His NHL struggles are all TIED straight to Lucic along with any other oiler in that Lucic era. His very limited time away from Lucic saw a similiar spike like every other oiler that got away from Lucic. As a fan I don’t blame him for leaving after the way he was used and treated. Thankfully Todd charelli and Lucic are all gone. I think the only problem left is JP agent who was the one tossing fuel on the fire entire time. He put up very impressive numbers was a point per game player this season over seas. I know it’s not nhl but that’s still very promising

That’s the reason I put reclamation in quotes. From an outsider it looked like they botched everything with him, there was no consideration for his youth and lack of English. Is some of that on him, sure, but good organizations have a legit plan for cultivating some of those skills. Again this is from a non fan and I might have missed something.

Nope you nailed it. Some of it is on him but it’s very easily to see management from start to finish messed up big time. They treated him like they didn’t need him the entire time rather than really making any effort to fit him in.
