I think Perfetti rumours are a smoke screen. Nobody saw them taking Seider last year.

My guess is Rossi

It's looking like they're going to be taking Rossi, if not it will be Drysdale but it seems like that wont happen.

Not Perfetti, they arent looking for wingers, especially the 3rd best available. They will take Rossi because hes a true center and probably a really solid 2C down the line

I don't see the Drysdale need bc they have Seider and Hronek on the right. I think they go forward too

There were actually a few posters on HFB a couple weeks before the draft saying Detroit was either trading back or taking Seider. They claimed they knew someone near the organization and of course I thought they were crazy. A journalist I think even mentioned Yzerman reached out to a team (Vancouver maybe) about the trade back but another team in the top 10 would’ve taken Seider.

I thought Perfetti was also a natural center?? Rossi would be a good pick tho. I can see Yzerman biting and taking him at 4

The logical choices based on connections would be (Perfetti and Raymond). Osgood and Devellano are part owners of Saginaw and Hakan was a board member or something of Frolunda. Perfetti could be interesting as he reminds me of Datsyuk. I’d be happy with one of Raymond, Drysdale, Perfetti, Rossi, or Askarov (warmed up to this idea recently) respectively in that order.

Idk but I really hope they don't take Drysdale, anyone but Drysdale, really need another center ideally or a good winger.

I think they draft Drysdale and trade Hronek for a solid LHD.

That’s crazy, I didn’t know that.

I just feel like Rossi would be an Yzerman pick. He’s a natural C and despite being short he’s stocky, kinda a similar build to Marchand. I’m also not a big Rasmussen fan, so that’s why I’d go Rossi, but admittedly not a Wings fan so I don’t have a great feel on who the pick should be

You take best available, if Stevie feels that’s Drysdale, then they take him there. You can always trade someone later, think Seth Jones for Johansson. That being said, if they don’t want Drysdale there, then maybe trade down and get your pick plus another

I'm guessing Raymond. Look at that spot in the roster above currently occupied by Jesse Puljujarvi. If that move doesn't happen . . .

On another subject entirely, I think that if Stevie takes on Eriksson, he'll get a better return than a LD worth only an entry-level contract. I think that Vancouver would have to add a second to that deal, at least.

Cap strapped world like the one we are entering two years of 6 million dollars cap space is going to cost much more than that. The prospect covers year one what about year two?

You have to remember Ken Holland had 100% of Detroit's intel and was picking soon after. Yzerman couldn't take that chance.

Detroit's not taking on Loui Eriksson's contract with Olli Juolevi as the main piece Yzerman will want at least Demko in return if not more.

I'd draft Drysdale, And then use Hronek as a main piece for Mikhail Sergachev could see Stevie Y doing that.

That's good value for Dermott, but not what the Leafs need.
