I would actually consider the Trouba trade.

Can't tell you how I feel about it because I haven't thought up to now about immediately trying to contend for a playoff slot; I just assumed we'd be in the lottery again next year.

The Trouba and Devils trades are good.

You're giving up too much for Faksa, his value is simply not that high anymore

And I'm not sure if the 4th is necessary in the Strome deal. That 1st is going to be lateee. Maybe bump the 4th to like a 6th if you want.

Howden's still a prospect....
At 21 Faksa was in the AHL putting up a .3 pts/gm rate
In his 20/21 year old seasons Howden is putting up a .3 pts/gm rate in the NHL...

Howden just turned 22, Faksa didn't make his NHL debut until he was 22.

You put Howden in Dallas' defensive system with Howden's superior offensive ceiling. And yeah it's close.

First, saying that Howden is still a prospect is a bit odd IMO. He’s already a regular NHLer.

Also Faksa scored 15 last season in an all out defensive team, IMO he can get 20

When I say prospect, I mean that there's still potential for growth. You're treating Howden at a fixed talent level. NHL players don't hit their peak until 24. So whereas you're looking at strictly what Howden is now, NHL teams are looking at what Howden can be.

Right but you’ve treated him as a bum and said that we should move him ASAP so basically you admitted that his value isn’t high

ah I see. I'm talking about "fit", Howden doesn't work in the Rangers structure/system at all, so yeah, for the Rangers Howden's not going to work. That doesn't mean that's the case everywhere. Like I think Ghost Bear would work really well with the Rangers, but not in Philly now that AV has taken over and wants to run his neutral zone counter attack system. It has to do with style of play, who people are playing with, how they're deployed, defensive structure, etc. This isn't as easy as just a player being "good" or "bad".
