Jost is not a bust, farthest thing from it. If you want to say hes underwhelming sure but hes a solid 3rd line NHLer who makes an impact in terms, his underlying numbers for shot suppression and supporting offence with zone entries....he makes positive impacts when he plays.
he is one of the better 1st round forwards from his draft class, which is super weak, but doesnt make him a bust. Hes goign to stick around in the NHL for some time in a defensive PK type role. If his offence ever becomes more consistent he will be that teams token fan favourite working class player
Wilde seemed to have a disaster development season last year in the AHL and went back to Junior. I know hes young and still has potential but thats not what you want to see in an important Dev year. You can say you love the potential more bc its more tempting but Jost is not a bust, hes an effective NHLer at 22 years old
