Description
Buf, you get 4th OA, a 40/40 guy, and a future 2C.
I know Eichel isn’t going anywhere, I just felt like jumping on the Eichel trade train. Personally, I don’t really even like this trade.
Oh, and plus; Det finally has a righty on every line.

Your rationale makes no sense. If Buffalo knows that they can’t get equal value in return, then why would they trade him? Bottom line, Eichel is one of the most un-tradable assets in the NHL. His skill, age, position, and contract term all combined make it nearly impossible for any team to make a reasonable offer. That’s why these trade scenarios are laughable

It does make sense. You can’t expect to get equal value back from a player like Jack Eichel. Any trade scenario, the other team will get the better player. You can get a lot of value back but no matter what, the other team would still be getting Jack Eichel and that is essentially endless value due to his age, contract, and production.

Is this trade offer perfect? Probably not. Is it “laughable”? Definitely not. It’s just someone like you is too blinded to realize that this AGM actually created a pretty valuable trade package.

The blind person is the one that thinks this is a reasonable trade package and that the Sabres would even consider it. My point was that if you know the Sabres would never get equal value, then why bother with a ridiculous trade offer that will obviously be turned down without a thought?
