Description
Definitely could see more prospects or pieces added into those trades but I think those are just the backbones of moves this offseason.

I expect to lose Wennberg in the expansion draft so that allows the prospects to go clean up the middle with a lesser contract for foligno and a change in role for Boone in 2022

welcome to CapFriendly!

Edmonton would have to decline this trade because Yamamoto averaged almost a point per game at only 21 years old.

Welcome! Trade values look alright, not sure about the oilers trade, I think Yamamoto is pretty much untouchable.

I don't think there's enough in it for Detroit to take on Harrington (who would be redundant on our roster).

With Edmonton needing defenseman, who do you see would be reasonable coming back?

Welcome to cap friendly. It’s not always very friendly don’t let anyone get to you some interesting ideas but oilers as mentioned by others wouldn’t be moving yam sooo quickly he was incredible with Leon.

Looking at the defensive depth of Detroit, I didn't see much coming up for depth purposes next year. I figured he would slide to 2nd or 3rd line to provide some experience and depth for the rest of their rebuild. Thoughts?

Appreciate the thought, but I think Detroit has enough players to fill the roster. Currently, it will probably look something like:

DeKeyser - Hronek
Nemeth - Seider
Cholowski/Biega - Lindstrom

It's not great, but adding Harrington doesn't really improve it either. Years 2-3 of Harrington's contract would potentially just take away a roster spot from McIsaac/Cholowski/Johansson.

Liked Nash when he was a Bruin and he's a great defensive forward, but don't need him now and he's at a $2,75M cap hit.

Can't see the Flames giving up their top prospect plus the 45th pick for a guy coming of an injury plagued season where he scored 1 goal.

oilers decline, if they do trade yamo, it will probably be for another good forward prospect

I'd be curious to see that if I posted a trade with the team you follow, what changes would you make to the trade?

Or, just what trade would your team do with the Blue Jackets, even if there is only a 1% chance they would do a trade with CBJ?

Honestly this isn’t bad... a few things, Drop Shore he isn’t worth 2.3 mil. PLD is going to get more money and shorter term (7.0x3 is more likely). Edmonton isn’t making that trade. Yam is untouchable and Nuttavaara is good, but only a 2nd pair D who can play top pair in a pinch. Tbh I’d rather trade Murray vs Nuttivaara. Columbus will keep Nash and buyout Wennberg. I’d also rather see Peeke play top pair in Cleveland as he’d also get PP and PK time vs playing 3rd pair in Columbus with limited minutes and no pp or pk time.

Welcome.

I think Flames and Oilers say no and you are underpaying PLD here.

I am curious to see your reasoning behind some of the things you said in here. First off, why do you think they Jarmo is going to pony up 7M per year for PLD when our highest-paid player is Cam at 5.85 with a very minimal increase in the salary cap, in 2 years. I can definitely see 6M a year but with COVID and the static cap, I just don't seem them going that high. Secondly, I've seen you say Wenny is gonna get bought out this offseason, I am very curious as to why you think this? There has been no talk or reason that we would need to buy him out if Dubi is on LTIR. Just some observations and questions as a fellow CBJ fan looking toward next season.

I cant speak for anything else,

and I respect the bruins trade

BUT i will let you know: bruins reject

They dont need another bottom 6 forward. But keep trying! Not half bad!

PLD is much closer to Point and Tkachuk then most people realize. They both got about 7 mil later year in extensions.

The reason we buyout Wennberg is because he isn’t worth 4.9 mil. We have him another shot this hear and he’s been solid defensively, he’s no where near where he should be offensively. So when we have other players just as good as he is as a 4th line center making less, doesn’t it make sense to play them and lower the cap?

Welcome to CapFriendly!

another note on the DuBois re-signing: since his birthday is in June, that 5-year contract carries him straight to Unrestricted Free Agency.
