Why? that trade is essentially 4 first round picks, a second, and a very very good player in Meier. Maybe you're the troll.

As mentioned Norris is not even in the Sharks system for 2 years now. Merkley is a decent prospect but a late first. TB first is a late first and then if taking this deal the 2021 first for san jose will likely be a late first. So yes that is way off for a top 10 player in the game as are the other deals proposed on here. I wouldn't trade Buffalos first round pick 8th overall for 3 of the pieces in your deal, 2020 TB first, Merkley and 2020 2nd.

Yeah and all of them suck. Merkley is the best offensive D in the CHL, Meier is a proven 30 goal player who’s only 23, and Norris was just named best player of the AHL. Huge difference between a trade that has lots of pieces that are all worth lots and a trade where you dump your garbage on us

Norris has not been a part of the Sharks organization in 2 years

Instead of contributing absolutely nothing, why don't you tell us all what you consider a good trade for Jack Eichel? smile

If Eichel were to request a trade and if the Sabres decided to honor his request I don't think the Sharks have the prospects/picks to make an offer that would work for both teams. This would probably take Hertl, Meier, 2020 1st, 2021 first, Merkley and Lebanc. I realize this deal would not make much sense for San Jose, but that is likely what it would take. Otherwise if an Eichel trade were ever to be explored it would be with a team with a greater collection of higher first round picks/higher end prospects Teams like LA, Anaheim or Chicago

Good luck getting that value. It just doesnt happen. Bigger stars than Eichel have been traded and never gotten that kind of return, theres just no precedent for the kind of value you are asking. Two top line young players, one middle six 50 goal young player, a top prospect with top pairing potential and two firsts for one amazing 1c is just crazy.

Who is the middle 6 50 goal player?? I don't think any team would give up that much established for a player. That is why I said San Jose is not a good match. If the Sabres were trading Eichel. They would be starting over and be looking for at least 4 high end pieces coming back. No team trading for a player of this caliber is building for the future and thus they would not want to give up high quality roster players they would want to move picks/prospects. That is why San Jose is not a good fit for this because they only high quality pick/ prospect they have is Merkley. Who are the better players that were traded for less??

Eichel is close, not great, but the rest are underwhelming.

I literally chuckled at the Rangers deal. You're not getting Adam Fox for Couture straight up, let alone adding TDA and a top 15 pick. Couture's still a great player but he's getting 8 mil for the next 7 years, when he'll be 38. Hefty no thank you.
