As he just built a house in WPG, I can see that. If not, DeMelo will be getting that or maybe 3.75M at most...

Laine contract probably higher per or less term, he probably wants a couple shots at big bucks, Jets in a good place, with a solid team in the works

Just add 500-750k and I think it’s a fair deal imo. Crazy that this team as good as it is fits under a flat cap.

Yeah but the main core is locked up long term which is scary. Just have to reup Samberg and heinola in 2 years. Our cap situation would be good for a while. Laff money comes from wheeler, Heinola and Samberg likely get bridge deals. We’re all good

My guess is he goes 6x9.5. Jets probably want 7 or 8 years, he probably wants 5 or 6. Laine probably wants 10 or 10.5 and jets probably want 9 or 9.5. They meet in the middle and go 6x9.5.

Big thing to realize is that no one on the Jets make that much...esp with a bad cap....I can see a 5*8.5...or longer at 9

I just don’t see the jets guaranteeing greater than 60 million to any one player, so throws out the 7/8 year deals and paying a premium for the ufa years, and probably in turn and attempt to sell high, before the ability to walk for free. But possibly wrong, I hope the young dman catch the window probably a season or two from now, for a couple seasons
