Chicago would not make this deal but if they would I think you play Reinhart at 2C as Kane is a rare winger that can carry the puck and drive play for his own line and likely would be ok there. 1st Line Oloffson, Eichel insert RW. Second line Skinner, Reinhart, Kane. I think this would be a playoff team but not a cup contender

Hawks decline. Not even close. Its one of the worst kane offers i've seen, and I laugh at how you add the 7th round pick as if that balances anything out lol. Kane won't waive, but if he did you would start with Cozens and your 2020 1st. A price that BUF wouldn't be willing to pay anyways

I dont think at this stage of the game and especially with the cap staying flat that you would get anything close to 2 top 10 picks.
With that said. This package ain't it.
And the real solution is that the hawks aren't going to trade kane

Just cause MoJo is listed as a center doesn't mean he knows how to play it. He is as much of a center as Patrick Kane

Patrick Kane would get a top 10 pick and an A level prospect minimum. He’s an above PPG player with 3 cups and plenty left in the tank. Cozens and Buffalo’s 1st wouldn’t even cut it...

So by your logic: Kane gets top ten pick and A level prospect
Then same sentence pick 8 and a top ten NHL prospect (100% considered A, if he isn’t who is) in cozens wouldn’t cut it...
gotcha.
Not saying the OP was close, but imo cozens and 8 get Kane fairly easily if offered.

did you miss “minimum”? Cozens isn’t an A prospect, especially since the Hawks took Dach over him (among other teams). It wouldn’t cut it.

He is a 31 year old winger making 10.5 mil what rebuilding team is gonna offer a top 10 pick and an A prospect who apparently Cozens isnt?? Like get real. You're either taking late firsts and with your evaluation is probably a C+ prospect cause he was picked outside of the top 3.
So please tell me what team is gonna give that up

Agreed we aern't trading kane. Disagree that we couldn't get a package like this. Kane is 100% worth his cap hit. He's still one of the best players in a the league and has shown absolutly zero sign of slowing down. He's one of the rare wingers that can drive his own line without needing a good center. If a team wants him they have to gove up a lot for him

He would be worth it if a team was ready to compete. But for the pieces you want for him you wont get because a rebuilding team isnt mortgaging their future for kane. He wont be the player they need when they are ready.

I agree. Thats why buffalo makes zero sense as a landng spot IF we were to ever trade kane. And thats a big if. Like we both agreed, kane trade isn't happening so it doesnt matter

Lol cozens is 100% an A prospect. He’s a consensus top 10 if not top 5 NHL prospect, regardless of position. It doesn’t matter if they took Dach over him, both will be good. At a certain point the Blackhawks would be better off capitalizing on Kane being a freak because it will eventually fall off and so will the return. If they were perennial playoff contenders it would be different. They aren’t. I wouldn’t trade 8 and cozens for Kane, even knowing the eliteness he has for 3+ years yet. That’s fine if you disagree. I was just laughing at the contradiction in your statement
