Good luck being a bubble team while Tavares declines and your players need raises in the next few years and the cap staying at 81.5 for the next 3 years. And not being able to upgrade the RHD position

Maybe you guys can get Pesce for Andreas Johnsson and a 2029 7th rounder. Good luck with not wanting to trade any of your top 4 forwards

How much has Sid and Bergeron declined? JT is going to be an elite player for 3 more seasons for sure and then be a really good player for the rest of his contract. It may become a bit of a hindrance in his final year but its not a problem. I am really getting a kick out of the last couple of days where apparently JT is showing huge regression with absolutely no supporting evidence to back it up.

If Tavares was still an Islander nobody would be saying this.

      Blue team bad!

Of course they wouldn't. The anti leaf bias is ridiculous on here and the moment anyone says that those clowns get all giggly and start saying we are fragile. Just look what people say about Matthews on here. He's scored more goals at 5v5 than any other player in hockey since he entered the league and by almost every metric has turned into a terrific two way player but still he's at best a top 10 centre and is terribly overpaid and wants to Leaf TO because that is how people show they want to leave......by signing a contract to stay.

A bubble team. What are you talking about? You have no idea of what's in the Leafs pipeline do you?

You better also put Brazeau on your list because he is comming and nothing is going to stop him.

@csick Dermott is most likely traded for the same reason Kadri got traded. He's the odd man out. They don't have a roster spot on the left and he's not good enough on the right.
